Geeta Bhawan : Geeta Bhawan is one of the oldest temple situated by the side of Laxman Jhula on the banks of sacred Ganges in Rishikesh. Gita Ashram that was set up in 1950's. It is well-known for its Paintings, statues, scenes from the epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana on the walls of Ashram. Nilkanth Mahadev Temple : The famous temple of Nilkanth Mahdev is situated at the height 5500 feet at a hill top above Swarg ashram. Thousands of devotees visit Neelkanth Mahadev every month throughout the year. Legends say that this was the place where lord Shiva had drank venom which had come out from Samudra Manthan. After drinking it, his neck had turned blue with the venom and therefore he was called 'Neelkanth', the one with blue neck. To visit this temple jeeps are available from Lakshman Jhula.
